Seahorse

43x10ft tug boat

3ft4 draft

7ft4 air

6ft11 head height in main cabin

Seahorse began life as a Dutch tug boat in the early 1950’s. As a commercial craft, she was built strong and built to last. The boat’s dimensions make her an ideal craft for traveling around the UK’s canal system (there are some useful widebeam maps online which are handy indicators of where you can go).

She is powered by a majestic 6 cylinder Deutz engine (in good working order) and the dual helm allows you to move the boat from the warmth of the cabin or the rear deck for mooring.

The boat is loaded with kit including a water heater, cassette toilet and galley (all untested). There is a Victron combi to manage the electrical system.

There is some work to do to finish this project off, but with massive internal space and head height, this will make a wonderful forever boat for her lucky new captain.

The boat is currently out of the water, we welcome you to inspect and please do bring a surveyor with you. The hull was originally constructed of 5mm steel and there has been some overplating. Overall the hull shows signs of wear commensurate with age and it appears to have been regularly and well maintained. As part of the sale, we will be pressure washing, blacking the boat and attaching x4 2.6kg magnesium anodes.

We can deliver anywhere in the UK (call for a quote) or launch onto the Grand Union canal, here in Hemel Hempstead, for free.
